Equality Charter School (http://www.equalitycharterschool.org/) provides a high level of academic rigor in a nurturing learning community that will prepare scholars to be career-ready in college. Our mission is to ensure each scholar reaches individual academic and personal success through a nurturing, scholar-centered approach; and our approach is to serve any scholar, including those who are under-performing or who are from families in need of more resources.
We offer a positive school environment, we value academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs, we use proactive strategies for teaching appropriate behaviors, and we use MTSS to engage scholars. Our holistic programming focuses on career exploration, extensive athletics, art, health, and a host of special days, like career day and a borough-wide college fair.

Arrival/Dismissal and Transitions:
- Welcome and greet scholars during their arrival at school
- Work Late Table signing in Late scholars and giving them a pass to class
- Make tardy and attendance calls
Breakfast & Lunch Duty:
- Monitor scholars during breakfast and lunch ensuring all expectations are met
- Ensure the scholars leave the cafeteria in a timely manner and upkeep the cleanliness of the cafeteria
Classroom Coverages:
- Effectively manage a classroom of students by keeping them on task and engaged
- Assumes all duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher
- Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher
- Supervise and ensure the safety of students during classroom hours
- Maintain a positive learning environment
- Leave feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher
Additional Duties:
- Assist with all clerical duties including phone calls, record keeping and filing, data collection, and organization as assigned by Assistant Principal.
- Completes other duties as assigned by Assistant Principal, Principal or Executive Director.
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and School Goals
- Acknowledges students meeting expectations to promote motivation and success.
- Participates in school celebrations on the success of individuals and groups of students.
- Supports with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions as needed.
- Supports the school in reaching all annual school goals.
