High School Special Education Department Coordinator

General Description of Position

 

In addition to teaching in the ICT classroom as the special educator, the SpEd Department Coordinator oversees Special Education compliance and related administrative duties. 

The SpEd DC receives the standard DC stipend on top of their teacher salary and is assigned 1 less class than the normal teaching load. 

 

Please note: Applicants are required to either apply for a Special Education (SpEd) Teaching position concurrently or hold an existing position as one on staff.

 

 

Major Responsibilities & Duties

*Supervision: The Director of Instruction oversees official supervision within the teaching subject department, while the Director of Scholar Services is responsible for training and overseeing tasks related to DC responsibilities
