Teacher-in-Residence (TR)

The TR supports a lead classroom teacher, the Resident Advisor, for a full-time, year long work experience. The TR gradually gains instructional responsibilities as s/he progresses throughout the year. The duties of the TR include: leading small groups of students, delivering parts of whole class lessons, grading student work, performing non-instructional duties that are required of teachers, communicating with parents, participating in staff meetings, and all of the general expectations of a teacher. The gradual release of the instructional duties of the role is the singular difference between a TR and a lead teacher.
